For smooth functioning of the Central Waqf Council there are 4 Committees constituted by the Council from amongst its members. These Committees meet periodically and discharge their resposibilities, as assigned under the Central Waqf Council Rule, 1998.
The brief functioning of the four Committees constituted from among the members of the Council are given in succeeding paragraphs:
Waqf Development Committee
The Waqf Development Committee of the Council look after the non-plan Scheme sponsored by the Ministry of Minority Affairs and operated by the Council. The scheme for developing the Waqf properties with a view to augment the resources of the Waqfs for better realization of its objects is one of the major programmes of the Council. To ensure proper implementation, the Waqf Development Committee needs periodically to monitors the projects, examine the progress of the construction and recommend further fund. It also monitors the recovery of loan.
